4.0 out of 5 stars Decently Durable, April 13, 2011

Be warned--I am 6'2" and I find this unicycle to be a bit too large. I would definitely recommend a small unicycle to most people. This was my first unicycle so it took a small beating as I learned. Everything essential survived unharmed, but the seat ripped and the handle got pretty scraped up. To be fair, though, I learned fairly quickly and almost always landed on my feet when I fell with the unicycle in my hands. Nonetheless, I think Torker makes good products--just go a size smaller.

4.0 out of 5 stars First Uni, March 16, 2012

I bought this as my first uni. I searched the web a long time for something of good quality that I could enjoy as a long term uni if I wanted to. I believe I have found a great buy. Very sturdy and well built. Good quality 24" tire for longer rides. I have no trouble with the seat, but my friend, he found it a little uncomfortable at first, once it was readjusted for his height now he is okay with it.
Now for the height of this uni, I even looked at the specs directly off of the Torker web site, BE WARNED!! the minimum inseam does not seem accurate. I bought this with the knowledge that I would need the seatpost at its lowest, I am 5'4". Yet when it got here, I needed to get the seatpost cut. Easy fix, Just bring it to your local bike shop but be warned is all. The second identical one I bought was for a friend who is 5'7" and he too had to take a little off the seatpost.
The stand that comes with it is nothing to get excited about. For both unis we are unable to use them as... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars The Best of the Cheapest, February 16, 2012
This review is from: Torker LX 24 Inch (Misc.)
This was my first unicycle, and I had no trouble at all learning on it. Everything on it is very durable. Considering that I fell off hundreds of times on it, almost always having it slam into the ground, it definitely can survive a lot. The seat is very well protected, it only has a couple scratches on it, but the seat protector parts (the red handle and back end) are definitely scratched up more than i would like. The tire is great for on road or off road, and it has gone over its fair share of rocks.

The reason that I am giving it a 4 out of 5 is because when i started riding it very frequently, the seat was almost unbearable to sit on after a few hours of practice. It is made of durable leather, which, for unicycles, is much less preferable than the common gel seat. Ever since though I've attached a seat cushion to it which I constructed out of a fleece throw, and have been content with my result.

It is definitely worth the purchase for a beginner... Read more
