Product Description
The LX unicycle improves upon the CX with a stronger chromoly frame and the new flatter platform crown, designed to give the rider more "sole" support while doing 1-footed dtricks and foot-scuffing skills. This new frame coupled with the "sure hold" double bolt seatpost clamp, deluxe saddle with front nose handle, and precision bearings encased by the heavy duty main cap-style bearing holders. The lightweight and sturdy 48-hole alloy wheel uses aluminum cotterless crankarms, and a low profile street tread tire.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Smaller Tire, Big Fun, By Snow Blind Arizona (Arizona) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Torker Unistar LX Unicycle 20" Blue/Chrome (Misc.) I learned how to ride on a 24" unicycle and my initial attempt to ride on this 20" Torker ended when I lost my balance immediately; I didn't even make it two inches! Once I got used to the smaller sized tire, I fell in love with this uni. I feel like I have more control and manuveurability when going over curbs, making sharp turns, and dodging kids on bikes. It just feels different than the 24" unicycle, as it should. You don't go as fast, but it sure is fun when pedalling. I don't get as tired when climbing the same steep hills that I climb on the 24" unicycle. On the downside, the seat is not as comfortable as the one on my 24" uni, but that's small potatoes compared to the enjoyment I'm experiencing riding this unicycle. The unicycle looks sharp. It has a metallic blue color which looks cool. It feels tougher than my 24" unicycle. The seatpost clamp is tough, since I'm a little heavier than the average unicyclist. I have to carry a hex wrench with me while I ride to make minor... I got an LX last year, used it hard, and it still looks and works like new. This is a great unicycle for anyone beginner to medium-advanced level riding.Totally worth the $110.I'd suggest a 20 inch wheel for anyone 5 ft to 5 ft 10 inches.any taller, then go for a 24 or 26 inch wheel.Any shorter then try a Sun Flat Top 18 inch.My friend has one [sun flat top] and he loves it.Good luck! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Great starter unicycle, By JeanineMB (Southern Calif., USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Torker Unistar LX Unicycle 20" Blue/Chrome (Misc.) We ordered this for my 12-year-old son, who expressed an interest in learning to ride a unicycle. It is well-made, seems very sturdy, and was not too difficult to assemble. My husband and son had it put together in a half hour or less. But they did have to cut the seat post a couple of inches shorter to accommodate his height. (An older teenager or adult probably wouldn't need to do this.) The handle in front makes it easy to catch during the inevitable instances of losing your balance. A great unicycle for a beginner! |
